Two things peripherally related to evolutionary biology

Thing one: I almost lost faith in humanity when I couldn’t retrieve an article I needed as a source for an evolution paper. Published only in the Proceedings of The Royal Society, the article won’t be available to Penn students or other normal people until three years after it was presented. For whatever reason, it appears only to be available to University of Aberdeen (Scotland) students. After cold emailing 15 Aberdeen students and the author of the article, three men (two students and the author) emailed me the article with their compliments, and thus my faith in humanity was restored.

Thing two: While reading about the game theoretic evolutionary consequences of budding yeast production of invertase, which converts disaccharides into glucose, I realized why my make-your-own-beer kit would make better beer if I used dextrose instead of table sugar.
